When we hear the words “interior silence” we may at first think of being quiet inside, similar to how we quiet down to do Centering Prayer or Lectio Divina. But interior silence is actually a state we are graced with when we consent to God’s presence and action within. Interior silence is not only about resting in God in prayer but also resting from the activity of the false self and resting in the midst of activity in our daily lives. In our retreat day we will explore these themes through the lens of how our contemplative practices can open the door to receiving the gift of interior silence.
Join us for a day of enrichment and renewal with guided meditation, two periods of centering prayer, and two presentations by Julie designed to lead us to a deeper interior silence.
