Introductory Workshops
Are you interested in helping to host an Introductory Workshop to teach
Centering Prayer or Lectio Divina in your area?
We can offer experienced presenters representing and trained through
Contemplative Outreach.

“Be still and know that I am God.”

Explore a way of prayer that allows you to be at home with God, being attentive to and experiencing the
Divine presence and action within.  Centering prayer is a form of silent prayer based on Matthew 6.6 and
the writings of Sts. John Cassian, John of the Cross, Teresa de Avila, and others.  In this workshop,
learn the method and principles of Centering Prayer and have the opportunity to practice this ancient
prayer method in a quiet, reflective atmosphere.  The workshop will be presented by trained presenters
representing Contemplative Outreach, Ltd., a network of faith communities, committed to renewing the
contemplative dimension of the Gospel in everyday life.
